(MT Newswires) -- UST, which helps companies use technology to strengthen their operations, said Tuesday it has acquired global telecom engineer MobileComm to bolster its network engineering services and telecommunications practice.
No financial terms were included in UST's statement about taking over Dallas-based MobileComm, which has worked with large communication service providers during its more than 20 years in business. MobileComm rolls out 5G networks, modernizes wireless systems, and enhances network performance with automation and analytics platforms, among other work.
"We are excited about this acquisition, which strengthens UST's presence in the rapidly growing next-generation network space," Aravind Nandanan, UST's general manager of telecommunications, said in an emailed response to MT Newswires. "Moving forward, our biggest focus will continue to be on North America, though this acquisition also positions us for success in India while further opening up the European market for us."
California-based UST said it will integrate more than 1,300 employees from MobileComm, which operates across the US, India, and Canada.
UST operates in more than 30 countries with clients in various industries, including financial services, health care, and manufacturing. UST reached unicorn status in 2018 when it was known as UST Global and received a $250 million investment from Singapore's investment firm Temasek.
